Love Yourself First
According to self-esteem expert, Francine Ward, in her book, Esteemable Acts: “It’s hard to genuinely love others unless you love yourself. Loving yourself opens you up to deeper and richer relationships with people, because you can be fully present. You’re less tormented by jealousy, envy, anger, and resentment, because you are living your own best life. When you’re doing what you love you can celebrate the success of others. Also, the more you know about yourself and the more you can own your humanness, the better able you are to connect with others. When you recognize your own faults, it becomes easier to see the humanness in others.”
